Hello! My name is Alec Madison Dwyer. I am one of the high school science teachers. I teach 9th grade biology, forensics, and dual-enrollment: biology.

Since I was little I have always been fascinated by how living things worked and what made a living thing a "living thing".

I graduated from Troy University with my undergraduate degree in secondary education with a focus on biology and recently obtained my masters' degree in biology education from the University of West Alabama. I am currently looking into getting my specialist degree in the upcoming year.

I grew up in Auburn, AL and graduated from Beauregard High School. I danced classical ballet for 20 years and still dance now. In high school, I participated in the marching band starting in 7th grade and was the Drum Major during my senior year. I am proud to serve as the Visual Ensemble Director for the Pride of Beulah Marching Band! There is nothing I enjoy more than the creative process of entertainment. I enjoy working with all the talented students on the flag line, the dance line, and the majorettes. Each year is different and always a challenge to elevate the performance with more precision and heightened entertainment factors, and I know the Visual Ensemble is up for the challenge.

I am so excited to be back in Alabama after spending about two years working at Walt Disney World! I participated in the Disney College Program (a great Internship for all you college-bound kids) with their Entertainment Costuming Department for The Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo - the Musical, Rivers of Light, and various other characters throughout Disney's Animal Kingdom. I am very passionate about Disney and can't wait for my next visit!
