Experience

I have over 25 years of teaching in Lee County at Loachapoka Elementary. I have taught second grade, kindergarten and fifth grade.  I believe education is the solid  foundation that every child needs to build upon to become successful in the world.

I have participated in many after-school activities in elementary school as well as high school. I have been the dance coach, jr. varsity cheerleader coach, and varsity cheerleader coach. I have taught in the extended day program, summer enrichment program  for several years, and assisted with Saturday school.

I was nominated Teacher of the Year for the 2013-2014 and 2022-2023 school terms. It was an honor to be recognized by the parents, students, and co-workers for my hard work and dedication to the campus of Loachapoka Elementary School.

Bio

I have one son named Zyon who is the light of my life.  I believe being a mother has given me a different perspective on my educational journey. I teach the students in my class the same way I would teach my own son.

I am very passionate about my job. I feel every child can learn, but only at different rates. I exude the patience that is needed to encourage my students to reach for the stars. I teach each child as an individual, and then help them reach their potential.
