I am from a small town outside of Jacksonville, Florida, and moved to Alabama to attend Auburn University. I received a Bachelors degree in Animal Science and a Master's degree in Agriscience Education. I spent some time teaching in Georgia before coming to Smiths Station High School. I am married to Garrett Dixon, a graduate of Smiths Station High School. We have a daughter, Chandler Jane, and a son, Cash. We live on a cotton and peanut farm. I am one of two Agriculture teachers and one of the advisors for the FFA chapter at SSHS.

The classes that I teach are Introduction to Veterinary Science, Introduction to Animal and Dairy Science, Horticulture Science, and Floriculture and Floral Design.
