Visual Arts Team: Art students compete in the annual Art Throw Down Invitational and be part of history as they compete in various categories ranging from two- and three-dimensional media to animation and graphic design. In each competition, students will be taught a specific skill by CSU faculty for a 30-minute period and then be given 2 hours to create a work of art by incorporating what they have learned.

Creative Writing Team: Students are given a chance to shine in the annual Art Throw Down Invitational, where they can compete in tests of knowledge about literary genres ranging from fantasy and Sci-fi to canonical lit or match their skills against other students in creative writing and recitation categories, including spoken word and Poetry Out Loud. In each competition, students will be taught a specific skill by CSU faculty for a 30-minute period and then be given 2 hours to create a work of art by incorporating what they have learned.
